BEGINNER FENCING COURSES + WINTER EPEE CUP RESULTS

Beginner Fencing Courses
For teens and adults.
Start Monday, August 12th. 6:30-8pm. 
Four week courses.
Learn the basics of fencing with the Epee. 
$50 per student.
Receive your Beginner Epee Fencing Certificate. 
**Students will also be ready to fence at clubs and in tournaments once they have completed the course.**
A novice tournament will be run several weeks after the course ends.

To secure a spot in the class, please transfer the course fee of $50 to the club bank account (then e-mail the club on the e-mail address provided to let us know to keep an eye out for your payment so we can send you a confirmation e-mail):

The Tasmanian Epee Shield 2012

The Tasmanian Epee Shield, May 12th, 2012

Clubs competing: Van Diemen Fencing Club, TUFC & YMCA.

On May 12th Van Diemen Fencing Club held the inaugural Tasmanian Epee Shield.

We had six entrants for the Mixed Junior Epee and fifteen entrants for the Mixed Senior Epee.
Fencers came from both Northern and Southern clubs and the tournament had a lovely, friendly atmosphere.

The Van Diemen Fencing Club beginners fenced incredibly well, especially as they only finished their beginner course last Thursday.

Training is going well. As per usual, 6-8pm Tuesdays at YMCA Glenorchy.
